Graduation and Continuation Rates:

  • Six-Year Graduation Rate: 55%

  • Six-Year Continuation Rate: 4%
     

SF State is pleased to provide the following information regarding our institution's graduation rates. The information is provided in compliance with the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act of 1990). The rates reflect the graduation/completion status of students who enrolled during the 2014-2015 school year and for whom 150% of the normal time-to-completion has elapsed.
 

During the Fall of 2014, 3,630 first-time, full-time, degree-seeking freshmen entered SF State. After six years (as of August 31, 2020), 55% of these students had graduated from our university.

The graduation and continuation rates are based on six years of attendance that equates to 150% of our longest program.
